We are an established golf society that was formed in 1961 and we organise six golf events per year playing at a variety of golf courses throughout the Midlands.
We also play three matches per year against other clubs & societies.
Four of the events take place on a Friday afternoon with tee times usually starting between 2 and 3 o’clock.
We also run two full day fixtures, which usually consist of a light breakfast, 9 holes of golf, soup and sandwich lunch, 18 holes in the afternoon and an evening meal.
All events are followed by a prize presentation.
The cost varies from £15 to £40 depending on the venue.
We play all formats of golf including Individual Medals, Stablefords, Bogey & Fourball games.
Our member’s cover all ages & standards from single figures to 28 handicappers, & our aim is to provide an enjoyable days golf for all concerned at a reasonable cost.
The annual subscription is £30, which is basically used to pay for deposits required by most golf clubs when booking fixtures at their course The majority of the societies funds are returned to the members by way of a reduction in the cost of the annual Captains Day fixture.
